It’s getting kind of ridiculous and we’re starting to feel like a broken record. We’d apologize for it, but we were clearly told, in no uncertain terms, no apologies for things like this (thanks Amy Schumer, Diane Hessan, Laura Fitton and so many other fabulous women for the reminder!). So we’re NOT sorry for telling you yet again that we are so thankful for the incredible event we had on Tuesday sponsored by the incredibly gracious Localytics.
The night kicked off with some adorable little mason jar shot glass swag, a bar full of wine, beer & non-alcoholic beverages, Essentia Water, and the smell of the most incredible BBQ (with a vegetarian option!) from Pennypacker’s! This was just about some of the yummiest BBQ we’ve had in a long time (don’t worry, we got their business card). We hope to see them at future events!
After we finished eating, we were treated to a talk about product and people management (communication is key!) from the super smart and engaging Sara Radkiewicz, Director of Product Management at Localytics. We got some great tips on how to be an effective product manager and how to handle difficult conversations.
Sara was followed by the always inspiring Diane Hessan, currently CEO of Startup Institute. She presented us with a fabulous list of words of wisdom (life is long, who knew?) and then opened it up to the audience to share their wisdom. True crowdsourcing in action!
As always, we capped off the night with raffle prizes! They included a Nintendo flask, a pi design scarf, a cold brewing container and Game of Thrones wine charms.
We had so much fun and as always can’t wait to see you at our next event!
