SGO Diversity & Inclusion Webinar: Running Inclusive Meetings

This webinar is useful for anyone who runs meetings, but is unsure they’re getting the best out of their entire staff. We’ll cover the importance of understanding unconscious bias and how that shows up in meetings, different ways people communicate, and how to most effectively acknowledge and include everyone– including those team members who may not be present in the room. You’ll walk away knowing:

  • What an unconscious bias is and how it relates to running an inclusive meeting

  • How people communicate differently in different situations

  • Concrete tips for managing more effective and inclusive meetings

Please note that this topic is one portion of our longer workshops that cover many aspects to creating an inclusive culture.


Regis Shields has deep and extensive experience in the fields of education, law, consulting and diversity and inclusion. Currently she is a consultant specializing in equity audits and designing and facilitating diversity, equity and inclusion trainings. She is a nationally recognized expert on equity issues in education and has presented and published extensively.  Regis holds an MPA from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, a JD from New York University and is a recipient of Georgetown University’s Certificate in Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Management.
